Happy New Year!

I (Darcy) have been writing New Year intentions for close to 20 years. My family and I write them on New Year's Eve and then check in on them in July.  My theme for 2024 is “Grounded Peace,” which plays into how I want to show up as a leader personally and professionally.

Do you have a career related New Year’s intention or resolution?

Alan recently spoke about sticking to your New Year’s resolutions for a new job on television.

Let’s knock 2024 out of the park!

Finding a job in today’s environment is tough. Companies are posting for roles that they’re not really filling while also laying off thousands of people… This leaves a lot of highly qualified people grasping for the few real roles among the many “extra” roles that are posted.

It’s no secret you need to have a clear action plan. Applying for roles is a skill. Interviewing is a skill. Networking is a skill.

Start Here:

🌱 Invest in yourself. If you’ve ever had a coach, such as a sports coach, meditation coach, or life coach you know that you’ve improved faster with less frustration. Finding a job in today’s market is similar. The better you are at it the faster you move from role to role.

Do this:

  • Locate a coaching program that will improve your interviewing and networking abilities. Maybe like this one… 😉 <hint, hint>
  • Develop a tailored action plan that is focused and relevant to your requirements.

LinkedIn is your digital business card. Make sure your LinkedIn Profile is complete. Add at least 4 skills, 2 job positions, etc. A complete profile improves your chances of being found by recruiters and hiring managers.

We have a course coming out soon that will teach you how to use LinkedIn effectively. Reply to this email if you’d like to be notified when it goes live.

🤝 Network, and we don’t mean in the traditional way. We mean in a way that is very focused, strategic, and aligned with the companies you want to work for.

✨ Also-- quick reminder! Only one week away! Don’t miss our webinar on January 12th at 12pm ET on:

P.S. Having a coach or being part of a group can decrease the time it takes to find a job. On average, Kadima members find a job in less than 3.6 months.  If you'd like to join or learn more, schedule a time to meet with the team.
